             2.     A student is required to investigate the rate of reaction in which a fixed mass of magnesium
                    metal (0.12 g) is added to different volumes of 1.5 mol dm  hydrochloric acid.  The acid is

                    the magnesium ribbon to disappear is recorded.  Figure 1 below shows the burette reading for the
                    volume of acid added and the time taken for the magnesium to disappear for each reaction.  The

                    (a)    From the results shown in Figure 1, construct a table to show experiment number, volume
