Flying Kites

We also ask our parents to make cassava starch

to stick the paper to our kites. It is only then we
can create the best kites ever.

When the Easter vacation is finally here, we waste

no time getting into action. With our kites already

made before and placed in the corner of our

bedrooms, all that is on our minds now is getting
          to the hills.

We normally go to villages of Canal or Cornbuck

in St George’s, Grenada, which is close to our

          homes.

Once we get there, we put them up and watch

our kites fly high in the sky.

We usually leave home early in the morning after

having breakfast and walk about a mile to get to

that area first before someone takes the favourite
          spot.
