The Homecoming Dance
Summer tilted her body backwards as Zack
hovered over her with a handsome grin for a few
short seconds and quickly they both settled to a
halt. Everyone applauded loudly in recognition of
their stunning performance. It was then that they
realised the spotlight was on them.
“It’s time for a drink”, suggested Summer. Zack
agreed and ambled towards the bar. When he
returned they sipped their drink slowly and danced
a little bit more.
Without warning, the principal Mr Bradford
emerged on the stage and announced,
“The 2016-2017 King and Queen of ‘Homecoming
D-a-n-c-e’ are”…..he paused, “Zack and Summer!”
Eventually, the surprised couple sprang to their feet
and waltzed gracefully towards the stage.
