country is left for the Dahanah. There are 40
wells in the bed of the Batin, which here forms a
circular plain some miles in diameter. Wells lined
with masonry, but only about 10 have water,
reached at average depth of 150 ft. At Hafar, two
water-courses, Fuleij esh-Shamdliyah and Fuleij
el-Janubiyah, enter the Batin.
