Dr. R. J. Biggar, M.D., Chief Medical Officer to the Bahrain Petroleum Oil Company.
The sudden death of Dr. Biggar, well known to this Department as a colleague and friend,
was a calamity which greatly upset the whole community.
His enthusiasm and frank approach to medical problems, his humour and great energy*
     will long be recalled.
He contributed to many of the public health schemes of the Island and his ideas were
sound and practical. Dr. Biggar leaves a great void. Such men are not easily replaced, and
our sympathies are extended to his wife and family.
