SUMMARY OF PERIOD
SEPTEMBER 1953 TO END 1954.

The main daily outpatients treated showed a considerable increase and proportionately
so in the number of inpatients admitted.
The total number of babies born in 1954 in Manama, Muharraq and Hidd was 1151,
which is a record figure and almost as much as can be dealt with until the New Women’s
Hospital is ready for use.
Very much importance is given to laboratory tests and X-Rays which produced a large
field of work in 1954.
