19 Cengiz Orhonlu has published certain number of Turkish document, preserved
in Turkish archives, relating to Ptrl Bey and his campaign against Hormuz (see «Hint
Kapudanhgi vc Flrt Rcis», in BclUlcn, vol. XXXIV (Ankara 1970), pp. 235-254).
There he says that the life of Pirl is not known for the years of 1525-1547.
