Capital expenditure includes a further advance of

The Government haa placed orders for largo supplies of
rice and sugar, which, in view of the world condition ia
eaaontial, for this purpose 10 lakhs haa boon act aside.
Negotiations are in progroau for the purchase of land
at Koaaibia, on the shore, which ia to be bought from the
Air Ministry who acquired the property from the Government
some yeara ago. The price to bo puid by the Government is
double what it received originally.
The sum of 20 lakhs has been oat ouidc for v/ork on
the proposed now deep wo tor pier whose construction ia now
undor consideration.
The Budget can be roughly Bummariaed ua followsj
excluding the one third which la paid to illo Highnoaa
93j lakhs ia expectod from the oil royalty and from oil
inapeotion foes, 66 lokho la to come from customs and other
sources and 7j lakhs will be derived from Interest on
investments.
