European Accounts of Muscat 159
in G.J., LV, 1925, 193-5, Sir Percy Cox further recounted how
the Socotrans used large rectangular fishing baskets which
they anchored to the bottom with stones and used to catch
mullet.
There are two other books which I have been unable to
consult which should have information about Muscat. They
are Blanford, W. T., On the East Coast of Arabia, Calcutta,
1872, and Osgood, Joseph Barlow Felt, Notes of Travel', or
Recollections of Majunga, Zanzibar, Muscat, Aden, Mocha,
and other Eastern ports, Salem, 1845.
