          two lines thus described until this line intersects the line drawn from
          point 5 to point P. described above.’ Concerning the islands of al-
         'Arabiyah and Farsi, each of which is assigned a 12-mile belt of
          territorial sea, it is provided that‘where these belts overlap, a boundary
          line separating the territorial seas of the two islands shall be drawn so
         as to be equidistant throughout its length from the lowest low water
          lines on each island’ (Art. 1).
           By Article 4, it is provided that ‘within two months of the entry into
         force of this agreement, there shall be established a joint technical
         commission of four members . . . which shall be charged with de­
         fining the boundary herein agreed upon, in terms of a series of geo­
         graphical co-ordinates. . . .’ The line fixed by the joint commission
         shall, if approved by the two Governments, ‘constitute the final and
         binding definition of the boundary, unless either Government makes
         objection thereto within one month after its submission’.
