“71 Had Inspector Cochrane in to dinner & afterwards discussed various things with him about the detachment.
He is a nice fellow, a good type.

Galloway went out to call on HH. As usual he talked of Zubara.

Spent all the afternoon at the Agency discussing a sort of questionnaire of GP's which in parts was rathefc
-3 incomprehensible. Found it quite pleasant but as I thought rather stupid, 1 can only suppose that this is the

reason why GP fancies him as his successor.
3 Went down to see the Hat where the Tunnicliffes are to live, it looks quite comfortable.
