Dr. R. J. Biggar, President of the Bahrain Medical Society for that year, was an able Chairman
and a great stimulus to the meeting. The Bahrein Petroleum Oil Company were extremely generous,
and their many kindnesses helped considerably in making the whole venture a great success. It is hoped
to make this an annual event to be held in different places in the Gulf in rotation, and it was not without
pride that the Government of Bahrain which started the Medical Society three years ago was able to see
it initiating an important gathering of this kind.
