with patients not only from Bahrain but all surrounding parts especially Saudi Arabia. It should
also be mentioned that the people of Bahrain do not appreciate enough how, rich and poor alike, they
arc given the very best drugs and food. There is no class distinction where medical treatment is
concerned, and nourishing diets as an aid to treatment arc highly stressed.
If ever there is an opportunity of serving one’s own people here it is with all facilities at one's
command. How much better for patients to see their own countrymen carrying out their treatment
and presenting it in the way which they fully understand.
Watching the development of medical aid in Arabia and seeing how much they rely on outside
people to run their medical work, it would be a wonderful thing if the people of Bahrain took a leading
share in running their own medical department and showing the surrounding countries a standard
of proficiency in relieving suffering which would be the envy of all.
