Notes.
The 43 Heat Exhaustion patients none of whom died, were an unusual addition, due to the
severe heat.
Large numbers of ships were lying off Bahrain for some considerable time and all but 3 were
ship’s personnel.
The 3 Enteric patients contracted the disease outside Bahrain.
The Cerebral malaria was of sudden onset defying all radical measures. Death occurred
in ten hours.
The Transverse Myelitis was not typical and of acute onset.
He was flown back to America, where he has since improved.
