Make an incision around

the cadaver’s head and

simply saw the skull in half

along the incision. Scoop

out the brain and throw it

into the trash tub.

Next, cut away the ears,

eyelid, and tip of the nose

for cartilages and put them

on your sheet of paper.

Work your way from the

top to bottom, extracting

all of the most important

cartilage.

After that, place all of the

bones into a cauldron and

fill with water until the

bones are covered. Boil

and keep the water clear

by scraping off any scum

and fat on the surface. Re-

move bones from the wa-

ter with tongs and gently

scrape off any flesh, liga-

ments, and tendons.
