Supporting our communities comes naturally to us at Harrah’s. We all appreciate the value of engaging
in local life and doing what we can for those in need. We connect at all possible levels from within
our organization to integrate seamlessly within our communities’ governing bodies, economic, social
and environmental life. Our diverse employees are recruited from our local communities and they are
motivated to connect through our People Planet Play initiatives supporting the community. We are
also known for the public stand we take on social and environmental issues that affect our guests, our
employees and our communities. Our leaders are often in the public eye, or in the press, speaking out
about issues that are close to our hearts.

Our programs enable, encourage and empower employees to be leaders in our communities by
embodying the spirit of People Planet Play. We maintain regular community engagement initiatives
and we are continuously overwhelmed by the passion, creativity, dedication and generosity of our
employee HERO’s.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino employees logged over 25,000 volunteer hours in 2017 and
impacted more than 110 organizations. Our H.E.R.O. volunteer committee also approves
various donations and consistently meets to discuss and plan for future opportunities.
