CHOKE FROM BEHIND AGAINST A
WALL
Self-Defense
All the principles of Choke from Behind with a Push (page 105) apply.
STARTING POSITION: Passive stance, facing a wall, with an attacker
choking you from behind.
1–2. Raise one hand up along the wall and turn sharply back toward the
attacker. Unlike in Choke from the Front (page 189), you do not have the option
of defending to either side. Your face will be turned to one side or the other, and
you must pivot in that direction. As you turn, drop the shoulder on the non-
defending side down so that your body and neck stay against the wall.
