                  the new Chief Planning Officer to begin building his team, without the disruption of my departure otherwise

              Reasons for leaving:
              I was recruited by LA Metro, which was unexpected.  Working at Metro allowed me to better support my family.  Metro
              also provided an opportunity to grow leadership and management skills while launching a potentially transformative
              transit development program.  I had been with Tucson for three months, during which I prepared a comprehensive
              assessment of the Planning and Development Services Department’s issues and opportunities, along with associated
              recommendations.    As  such,  my  period  of  service  is  best  characterized  as  a  management  consultant.    Significant
              accomplishments made during this period and endured beyond my brief tenure.
