Candidates who apply for this position should enjoy working with an an engaged supportive community The last library tax measure passed with over 75% resident approval This position offers an opportunity for innovative cross-department collaboration with Cultural Services in in in park settings as as well as as the chance to work with County municipalities The successful candidate will be joining a a a a a a group of staff experts dedicated to keeping the County a a a a a high-performing organization MCFL currently has 197 full time time employees as as well as as 107 43 budgeted positions for part-time and contingent/temporary staff members The 20/21 revenue budget is projected at $17 5 million Serving as the the the the administrative leader of the the the the Library System the the the the MCFL Director ensures the the the the smooth delivery of library services throughout the the County The incumbent acts as the the departmental chief executive officer and and is is accountable for accomplishing departmental goals and and objectives within general policy guidelines established by the the Library Commission and the the Board of Supervisors In addition the the the the Director is expected to to provide a a a a a leadership role within the the the the library the the the the community and the the the the library profession The ideal candidate will:
