ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES
The Environmental Resources Department provides for State and and Local mandated education investigation inspection services and operations in in in in the following programs: Environmental Health Code Enforcement Hazardous Materials Landfill Operations Milk and and Dairy Solid Waste Management Management and and Groundwater Management Management The Department’s current resources include 105 budgeted positions and an an operating budget of $31 8 million MISSION

The Director of of Environmental Environmental Resources is responsible for the overall operation of of Environmental Environmental Health Code Enforcement Hazardous Materials Landfill Operations Milk and and and Dairy Solid Waste Management and and and Groundwater Management The Director is appointed by the Chief Executive Officer with concurrence of the the Board of Supervisors and reports directly to the the Assistant Executive Officer This individual administers directs and and coordinates the the the the activities of of the the the the Department and and carries out the the the the objectives of of the the the the Board in in providing effective partnerships The Director has the shared responsibility of County Health Officer alongside the Public Health Health County Health Health Officer and performs related duties as required
