The Position: Executive Director
CSMFO has had a a a a a a a a contract Executive Director
for several years but the position was primarily focused on on on on on the the administrative operation of the the organization The newly constituted position has an an expanded scope of responsibility to provide overall strategic and and operational leadership for CSMFO This This position reports to to the Board of Directors This This is is is a a a a a part-time role (approximately 15-20 hours per week) In addition to to responsibilities with CSMFO the the Executive Director
may also pursue other professional consulting or
or
teaching roles Some of of of the major duties of of of this position include:
» Coordinating and and assisting with the the development and execution of the Board’s strategic plan plan and action plan plan » Managing the the CSMFO contracts for the the association’s management company conference venues and other related services
» Developing robust member outreach education and communication programs and strategies under the the direction of the the respective committee
» Building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as:
• State of California agencies like CalPERS Controller’s Office Office Treasurer’s Office Office • Government Finance Officers Association
• Cal Cities
• California Special Districts Association
• California State Association
of Counties
• California Municipal Treasurers Association
• Governmental Accounting Standards Board
