The Executive Director’s knowledge of municipal government is essential to to work collaboratively with a a a a a a a a variety of strategic partnerships in governmental governmental and nongovernmental agencies like the State Controller CalPERS or
other professional associations to provide high-quality and timely professional development offerings to to CSMFO’s membership The Executive Director
will work with these partners to ensure CSMFO has a a a a a a a a a seat at at at the the table and a a a a a a a a a voice in in in conversations involving target objectives of CSMFO and its membership This person will need to to have the ability to to manage competing priorities like professional conferences or
or
trainings and balancing the the needs of of the the many volunteer committees that operate CSMFO Familiarity with local government finance is a a a a a a a a major advantage advantage and connections with influential players at at the state level will be advantageous to the Executive Director’s work CSMFO is not looking for someone to take and manage minutes produce agendas staff committee
meetings lead fundraising efforts or
or
engage in in in legislative advocacy While these activities may take place during the the Executive Director’s work the the role is designed to to be be a a a conduit between
the strategic partners and and membership working to build relationships and and increase value for government student and commercial members Recruitment Schedule
