■ The Position
As the Public Health Executive Director you will build a a a a a a a a new department with a a a a a a a a clean slate and considerable

» Serves in in in the the the statutory role of of of “Public Health Director ” administers and and and and enforces compliance with public public health health laws in the the State of of Colorado and and and public health health orders standards regulations and and and rules of of the the County and State Boards of Health including special commissions (water quality quality air quality quality hazardous waste) provides consultation and and ensures support to the Board of Health and and recommends appropriate action against violators of health codes » Responsible for overseeing a a a a a a a a a a a a a a shared vision of of of improving community and and environmental health health health through assessments planning and implementation of comprehensive public health services » Issue orders orders and and and and and adopt rules rules consistent with the the the the laws rules rules and and and and and orders orders of of of of the the the the state state and and and and and the the the the state state board in in in the event of of a a a a a a a a a a public health emergency (e g g quarantine and isolation water boil evacuation closure of of a a a a a a a a a a public place) » Responsible for for accepting disbursing implementing and and administering all federal and and state funds approves fees for applicable services rendered by the department Identifies funding that supports core infrastructure as as as well as as as community-level work » » Prepares for and acts in in emergency or or or disaster situations to address public health issues » » Manages the the investigation and and and and inspection into matters affecting affecting public public public health health health manages manages controls of epidemics manages infectious communicable and and other diseases and and conditions affecting public health » Provides vision vision leadership and and and and and and and direction Develops Develops the the strategy and and and and and and and vision vision for for goals objectives policies and and and and and and and priorities Develops and and implements workforce development and and succession planning » Directs the completion of a a a a a a a a a a a a community health health assessment and and and local/regional public health health plan plan every five years » Acts as the the local registrar of vital statistics or contracts the the responsibility
