StanRTA is is seeking a a a a a a a visionary hands-on leader to serve as the first permanent Chief Executive Officer in in its history The opportunity to to lead such a a a a a a a young agency is is superb for a a a a a a a creative flexible individual who has the desire to get involved in in in in all aspects of the organization including policy direction and transit operations The Board of o Directors has identified the ability to to effectively interact with elected officials and staff from StanRTA’s member entities as as as well as as as leaders from many regional organizations as as as paramount Exceptional communication skills and and financial management experience with an an an an an emphasis on on budget development and and administration will be be be needed needed Those who believe in in in being present with staff and are willing to help out where needed needed will will enjoy this role Since the Board of of Directors is is is is comprised of of members members who also serve as Supervisors Councilmembers and and other active community leaders the the successful candidate will be a a a a a a a a fairly independent professional who is proactive takes initiative and is is confident in in in their decision-making abilities At the the same time he he he he or she must regularly communicate with the the Board to to keep them informed The ability to to quickly establish credibility and trust and and the emotional intelligence necessary to effectively deal with conflict resolution and and foster collaboration will be keys to success in this role Other desirable traits identified during discussions with the the Board include:
