Story 22
"Succotash!"
Two men held up First Federal and took all its cash and fled in a mad
dash. Down the wet streets they plashed, rain striking their
windshield with a blinding splash. Rounding a turn, they spun out of
control and crashed.
Somehow, they managed to flee into a thick forest of pine and ash.
They were soon caught, although not before hiding the cash. Later in
court the judge's teeth started to gnash. Then he shouted, "Unless
you surrender the cash, now, you will get thrashed and lashed."
Horrified the two men cried out together, "Succotash Judge! Surely,
you may have back all that cash !"
