Bad for Her Health
“Lonnie," said her mommy, "any more cookies would be bad for your
health. Besides, we should preserve the cookie wealth, thus I shall
shelve the other twelve."
But at her first chance Lonnie used stealth, taking one after
another through the twelfth.
"Daughter," said her father later, "you were told not to delve into the
cookies your mother shelved. Therefore, you shall have a couple of
whacks with the helve of my ax for each taken of the twelve."

To the Heavenly Diadem
The world is full of mayhem. You wonder, what is the stem? Perhaps
our lust for a gem, greed to have more than “them,” or belief we're
better than Clem. Maybe we ought not to contemn or to condemn,
but to pray to the diadem for grace at our requiem.
