The Brave Squire
In Great Britain in a town shire, in a great mansion with a huge spire,
works a squire, for a lady much higher.
He always dresses in befitting attire, and works without tire, even
when mending miles of fence wire.
He has forded his lady across muddy mire, and he has saved her prized
sire,from a barn fire.
Now he is her hearts desire, while she is his passion fire. Soon he shall
aspire, to the rank esquire, then marry and likely, re-tire.
Change: apostrophe left out of heart’s, and re-tire for retire.
