Story 272

                                                     Fond of Fowl

Once upon a time there lived a monk named Farther. Powell, who always

wore a robe with a cowl.

At sin he would scowl, and say " It's foul !" But at food, he would yow’l,

               especially for fowl.

Therefore he kept a bird dog that would growl and a coyote that would

howl. And at night with the help of an owl, they would go out on the

prowl, to catch the tasty waterfowl.

               Change: yow’l for yowl

               .
