Story 58
Really Fazed
When the barn of Farmer Hayes went ablaze, he stood in a daze, eyes
glazed watching the structure being razed.
Luckily, his animals were out to graze, for in the smoky haze their
stalls would have been a maze. Nevertheless, Hayes became crazed.
From then on, he would only blankly gaze.
Story 59
Praise the Lord
While riding in a horse-drawn chaise, the minister
prays for words to put into proper phrase, which will give
the Lord due praise.
He hopes to up-raise those wayward strays, who are in
a sinful phase, and might eternally braise.
Change: upraise to up-raise.
