                                                      Father Bach
While the cock crows, Fr. Bach dresses into his frock and puts on his holey socks.
Then he eats breakfast of either bagels ‘n’ lox or eggs ‘n’ hocks.
Afterward he’ll walk a block to the dock of the loch to fish the waters so chock
        full of rock.
Come afternoon he dresses into a smock to butcher one of the abbey’s beef stock
or a few of their feathery flock.
Then around six o’clock, he cooks supper in a crock as he drinks his beer called
        Ba•va•ri•an bock.
                                                                                                       Story 210
                                     On Cape Cod
Ms.Todd, who lives on Cape Cod, fishes daily for scrod.
On her sod she grows green peas and sells them in the pod.
Being ever so grate•ful for little things, every Sunday she’ll trod
to church, bow her head, and thank her God.
                                                                                                              -107-
