Crazy Meg
Please Greg,
Please Peg,
Begged Meg
I'm not the Black Plague,
I'm not a worthless dreg,
So please don't call me "NUTMEG,"
Now let's drink from my keg,
Beer enough to fill a leg !
Story 84
A Life That Jells
Farmer Raphael dwells in the dell, with his beautiful belle, Jezebel.
Every morning Raphael, arises at six when he hears the knell, of the
cow bell. Then he milks his bovine 'til his buckets swell. Afterwards
he may fell, a few trees or gather honey from honeycomb cells.
Jezebel grows bluebells, and she gathers seashells, that she sells in
Carmel. The life they live is swell. He never has a fell look; and she
never, a foul word. And each wishes the other well, which is a wish
made weekly at their wishing well.
