Tempted
The devil may attempt to tempt
Even those who hold sin in contempt.
In other words, no soul is exempt,
For Satan may come even in a dream dreamt.
Story 90
The Fox's Ken
The sly fox cannot always catch the flighty wren, so now and then he
must satisfy his yen for fowl with a plump hen.
He has the ken to wait 'til ten, when fast asleep are all the men. Then
he leaves his mountain den and comes down through the glen. When all is
clear he steals into the chicken pen, clenches his teeth around a hen, and
takes off just as fast as he possibly can.
