Story 256
A Long Wait for Parole
When people are on the dole, it becomes hard
for police to keep shoplifting under control.
Therefore, security guards must patrol,
playing an important role, keeping coats and
stoles, secure on their poles.
Nonetheless, many a sorry soul, will steal such
things as a silver bowl, or even a console. And
when caught, regardless of what he stole, he
likely will be given a prison role.
Story 257
Leopold
"Mother please!" said Leopold. "I am too old for you to scold. If I
have told you once, I have told you twentyfold: I need to leave your
household. My reasons are manifold. Living here makes me feel like a
withering marigold.
"The journey I'll take is doubtlessly bold. I will travel through wood
'n' wold, in search for silver 'n' gold. But thoughts of you I shall
always behold, and thus my heart shall never grow cold.”
