Vaccination is carried out only when the flocks are deemed healthy and during the
time of the day where there is minimum stress. The method of vaccine mixing, the
quantity of diluents, temperature and handling during administration are checked
by the veterinarian.
The veterinarian also makes routine visits to monitor the performance and health
status of the birds. The farm management will promptly report any disease
outbreak or abnormal increase in mortality for investigation and immediate action.
7.3 Management of Pain and Injury
Any injured birds will be culled humanly and disposed and incinerate.
7.4 Mandatory Report of Disease Management
When a mandatory disease is suspected and positively tested, the veterinarian
will send the report to the authority.
