THE MAN BEHIND THE BRAND AND INDUSTRY
Founded by William E. Cranston Jr., Thermador began as a manufacturer of electric items, most notably portable and “Bilt-In” heaters.
THE FIRST WALL OVEN WITH
MATCHING COOKTOP
Thermador introduced the rst “Stainless Kitchen” and produced the world’s rst “Bilt-In” wall oven with a matching “Bilt-In” cooktop.
FIRST KITCHEN PLANNING GUIDE
Thermador published the rst Kitchen Planning Guide, an essential tool
that helped people ef ciently design and build their kitchens.

THE FIRST “PRO” RANGE
Thermador introduced the rst “Pro” Range, a 48” stainless steel six-burner with dual ovens.
FIRST SELF-CLEANING OVEN
Thermador continued to improve the modern kitchen by rolling out the rst “Self-Cleaning” oven.
