 CAUCUS FOUNDATION GRANT AWARD RECIPIENTS
Christine Cho, Chapman “When the Sun Sets”
Christine received her Bachelor of Arts in English writing from Kalamazoo College. During her last year, she worked as a production assistant on a documentary film. She has just completed her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Producing at Chapman University this year. During her time at Chapman, she worked as an intern at Quinn Media Management and Whitaker Entertainment, and has produced four short films, one of which was shot entirely in South Africa.
  Damon Laguna, USC “Headlock”
Damon is a writer, director, and producer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Damon spent most of his life flipping through the air as a competitive gymnast before discovering a love for theatre and filmmaking in high school. After earning a Business Administration degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and almost becoming an accountant, Damon began his graduate studies at USC’s MFA program for Film & television Production as a George Lucas Scholar. Damon has worked for production companies like NBCUniversal’s Illumination Entertainment, Beachside Films, and Blumhouse Productions and has made award winning content that has screened at prestigious festivals around the world. Damon aspires to create character-driven, humanistic content that features diverse characters from underrepresented backgrounds that inspires and touches a wide audience.
