Gore’s abdominal aortic aneurysm device reached a signi cant milestone this winter: 250,000 patients treated worldwide.
The GORE® EXCLUDER® AAA Endoprosthesis launched in Europe in 1997 and in the United States in 2002. It is one of the earliest offerings from Gore’s growing portfolio of products that treat the aorta—the largest human artery.
Aortic business unit leader Ryan Takeuchi, Woody Springs, describes the device as a trusted solution for clinicians worldwide, adding, “This trust stems from a device design that has proven
to be safe and effective for nearly two decades of implant experience.”
For patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (a weakening of the aorta in the abdominal area), the product helps to prevent
