Roy Cutshall retired in January after 10 years of service. Roy joined Gore with many years of industrial experience spanning many industries and technologies. Roy shared and applied his knowledge over the past 10 years that in turn translated into many improvements
to the Appleton North facility infrastructure as well as improvements at other facilities as a member of the IPD shared facility team. Most notably, Roy’s efforts to reduce exhausted conditioned air decreased annual energy costs signi cantly. We are sure that will include plenty of riding on his Harley Davidsons and RV’ing too. Kevin Parchen retired in January after 12 years of impactful contribution to the Enterprise. Kevin started as a temp with EPD at Elk Mills II and began his fulltime commitment at Appleton Central performing quality control testing in support of the GORE® VIATORR® and APTERAM products. He continued his MPD contributions in various manufacturing roles for a number of products. Kevin was consistently characterized as, “A nice guy who genuinely cares about his work and fellow associates.” We wish Kevin the best, and we thank him for his many contributions and friendships. —Mark Guns, Elk Mills I
Donna Saunders retired in January. Donna’s commitment was in housekeeping at Barksdale and Fair Hill. She was a culture champion and received the watercarrier award at Fair Hill. Donna was known as the friendly morning greeter to all. She will be greatly missed. —Shelby Boone, Jr., Lovett
Jennie Wright retired in January after 31 years of service to the Enterprise, all with EPD. Jennie started her career at Otts Chapel in Inspection/Assembly. After three years in inspection she moved into an assembler commitment. She then moved to the ber optic team, which moved to the Elk Mills II plant. Jennie always demonstrated very strong assembly skills and was always there for her colleagues. She ended her assembly career with the GMCA/space clean room coax cables at New Garden. Jennie will truly be missed by her fellow associates. She is looking forward to spending time with her grandchildren. We wish Jennie all the best in her next phase of life. —Nancy Thorp, New Garden
Mary Cebula retired in December after 33
years of service. Mary’s career started as a tape wrap operator at Paper Mill West, then moving to the Otts Chapel facility. Mary went into a housekeeping/ oor maintenance opportunity at Upper Chesapeake in 1990, before transitioning to the Fabrics Division to become a nal inspection operator at Elk Creek III in 1994. So, to this “Very Special Lady,” we all would like to thank you, and wish you the very best in a long and happy retirement. —Louise Brown, Elk Mills V
Barbara Johnson retired in December after
33 years of contributions to the Enterprise. Barbara rst joined Gore as a member of the accounting team at Cherry Hill. She contributed in that role until 2001 when she took on the commitment of accounts payable leader for the newly formed MRO team. She was well known for her professionalism, calm manner and thorough knowledge of A/P processes. Barb served as a cultural role model for countless Associates over the years. The family will spend much of their time vacationing in Lewes as well as Florida. —Lisa McGee, Appleton South
In February, Karl Pfahler embarked on his well-deserved retirement. Since joining in September 1980, Karl made valuable contributions in the design
of equipment and machines. He remodeled our tape wrappers, the cabling machines, planar cable lines and extrusion lines. Karl designed the rst tools for GOREM SKYFLEXM sealants in Pleinfeld. With his countless devices and improvements over the past 35 years, he will be remembered for a very long time. We would like to thank Karl for many years of always reliable service and wish him health for his new stage of life. We wish him a great ride with his new motor home.

Judy Rudolph retired last June after a long
career with Gore, including commitments in IPD and Core Technology. Judy joined Gore in 1990 and rst worked at Appleton South with the R&D group. In 1995, Judy moved to Cherry Hill where she worked as the scanning electron microscopist for the Eastern Cluster until 1998. Between 1998 and 2000, Judy left Gore to be with her family, before re-joining Gore in the fuel cells business in 2000
at Appleton East. Judy recently traveled to Iceland and Alaska, and her retirement will give her further opportunity to continue her travel adventures. Judy also hopes to be hanging out with grandkids in the future! Happy trails! —Simon Cleghorn and Louise Hyatt, Appleton East
