Head Coach




                                                                 Stanley Pritchett Jr.






                                                        Stanley Pritchett Jr. was born in Atlanta, to Dr. Stanley
                                                        Pritchett Sr. and Dr. Sharon Pritchett, both life- long educa-
                                                        tors. Mr. Pritchett is a product of Atlanta Public Schools,
                                                        where he proudly attended Frederick Douglass High School.


                                                        In high school, Mr. Pritchett proved to be an all-around ath-
                                                        lete, but excelled in football as a running back. As a member
                                                        of the Douglass High Astros varsity football team from 1988-
                                                        1992 he maintained a presence on the football field and

                                                        helped Douglass to several winning seasons.

                 Due to his success on the field as a running back, Mr. Pritchett was heavily recruited to play colle-

                 giate football. Once he graduated from Douglass, he chose to attend the University of South Caroli-
                 na where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. At the University of South Carolina, Mr.
                 Pritchett also continued to excel on the football field as a running back/fullback.


                 As a standout running back at the University of South Carolina, Mr. Pritchett was a fourth- round
                 draft pick to the Miami Dolphins. While playing in Miami, he was selected as a member of the All-
                 Rookie Team in 1996 as well as being a team co-captain. As a Miami Dolphin, he still possesses the
                 team record for the longest touchdown pass reception by a running back. During his 9-year NFL ca-

                 reer, Mr. Pritchett had the opportunity to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears and the
                 Atlanta Falcons. He retired from the NFL in 2005.


                 Upon his retirement from the NFL, Mr. Pritchett decided to use his degree in history to become an
                 educator. Mr. Pritchett was versatile in using his education and as an educator has taught World
                 History, Geography, U.S. History, and Current Issues. He has since transitioned into teaching Physical
                 & Health education


                 He is also able to keep football in the forefront having a high school coaching career that spans ten
                 years and includes stints as the Head Football Coach for Booker T. Washington High School, North
                 Atlanta High School and Westlake High School. He is currently the head football coach at Arabia
                 Mountain High School and has earned two 5-AAAAA regional championships along with a host of
                 other accolades.
