                                        66.  PROHIBITION        (AL-TAHRIM)

                                      In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

                                  1 Prophet, why in your desire to his helpers.  Were he to divorce
                                  please your wives, do you impose you, his Lord might well replace
                                  a ban on what God has made you with better wives—
                                  lawful to you? God is forgiving submissive [to God], believing,

                                  and merciful.  God has already pious, penitent, devout in
                                  ordained that you be absolved of worship, given to fasting—
                                  such oaths. God is your patron. previously married and virgins.
                                  He is the All Knowing, the Wise  6  Believers,  safeguard
                                  One.                       yourselves and your families
                                    3  The Prophet once told one of from a Fire fuelled by people
