Ban Pa Fang is the community derived from the gathering of people from many communities in nearby areas to make animal farming and agriculture. When number of households was increased, then the village was established. The remarkableness of Ban Pa Fang is the source of banana trees throughout the village area enabling villagers to apply parts of banana tree to use in daily life.
The main products from banana tree particularly existing in this community are product from banana fiber. It is derived from removing leaf sheaf of banana tree, then scraping it with spoon until it remains thin plate. After that, cut it in thread-sized string, dry it and twining these strings to use in making various products such as mat, bag and lamp with unbelievable sturdiness and durability. Although the price of product from banana fiber is not high, it is another channel for people’s income.
