  1. Float It is the table lantern inspired by the charm of candle light in the welcome ceremony arranged by the Thai friends on the first night of arrival at Phayao Province. The first goal of design is to make the best effort in maintaining the production line in the community as much as possible. Then, this lantern was designed by using three types of low-prices local materials namely, banana fiber which is well-known by community people, rice which is used for glue production by mixing with small amount of water and salt, and plastic water bottle which is easy to find. These materials have no cost and can be reused. After that, the simple electrical circuit was designed for LED bulb using 3-volt battery. The second goal is to use the equipment surrounded. Thus, the working method was developed by using general equipment like kitchen knife, scissors, and steel to change the simple material to be the beautiful materials.
2. Flame Inspired by the warmness and the beauty of natural materials as well as the performance of light and shadow, the chandelier was made of three types of materials similar to ‘Float’, but additionally used cardboard molding to build big-sized product without using complicated equipment. However, it provides warm and dignified light to a house and guest welcome area.
The target group of these two products is the market of modern design in Thailand, emphasizing the craftsmen could develop their skills of business existing in their own culture and language before expanding to international market.
