Our history starts with our great grandfather, Mr. Attar Syed Omar.
He started the business of perfumes and incense in the year 1881.
He initially dealt with raw materials like Civet, Sandalwood oil and
other essential oils. He had a civet cat farm where special civet cats
were bred to extract the precious civet perfumery raw material.

His son Mr. Attar Syed Hussain developed his father’s industry
commercially in the year 1926. It had all the operations required
that is a Blending Dept, grinding mill to grind herbs, printing
press etc. Each Perfume oil compound was blended by mixing
of around 10 to 100 different raw materials comprising of
animal extracts, plant extracts and aromatic chemicals. This
lead to a database of extraordinary secret formulas which are
well preserved to this day.Perfume and Incense were exported
to as far as South America in the west and to Australia in the Mr. Attar Syed Hussain
(3rd from below right) after recieving
East. Mr. Attar Syed Hussain was well renowned in India as an gold medal from The Maharaja of Mysore
adept perfume blender and a pioneer social service worker. He
received a gold medal from the then Maharaja of Mysore, India
for his expertize in perfumery
He also established the Alhaj Attar Syed Hussain Wakf in the year
1961 with an area of 18,000 sq feet. It is well maintained till today
and comprises of computer training & tailoring institutes. It also
provides pension to old people and scholarships to aspiring
students.

Mr. Attar Syed Khader Hussain established himself as a Chief
Chemist and carried on the tradition of the perfume family
business.
