Florida’s Finest Ambassadors
Six Florida artists, representing the wealth of plein air artists who choose to live and paint in the country’s third largest state, are honored as “Plein Air Ambassa- dors” for the 2017-2018 season.
“Florida is a plein air power- house, but it is a huge state. There is great potential when artists, organizations and
events like ours, work collaboratively,” says Joe Taylor, Forgotten Coast Event Chair. “Thanks to the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, these Ambassadors will be engaged to represent Florida’s’ exceptional plein air talent, promoting outdoor painting and furthering the process of uniting the Florida plein air community,” he states.
Honored Florida’s Finest Ambassadors, Cathy Berse, Michelle Held, Ed Nickerson, Manon Sander, Corey Wright and Sharon Yarbrough will be highlighted in the Flor- ida’s Finest en Plein Air juried exhibit and sale located at the Apalachicola Center for History, Culture and Art. You will nd them painting and sharing their plein air experi- ences throughout the event as they host the painting stations.

Intended for rst time painters, these two-hour sessions will allow collectors and enthusiasts the chance to be “coached”

And best of all, the participants leave the session with their own plein air creations. Plein Air Painting Stations will be set up in each community throughout the 10-day event. A schedule of the available ses- sions are posted on the event website under Painting Stations. Book your location and time slot ($25) and secure your chance to paint with a plein air professional.
