Choctaw Beach, FL Born and raised in Florida, Ed Nickerson is partial to Florida landscapes as his main interest of painting. He attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida then moved to Atlan- ta, Georgia where he worked in graphic design and commercial art. Since retiring , he pursues his life long passion, concentrating primarily on painting. A student of Impressionism, he loves trying to cap- ture the lights and shadows of the day. While within his personal studio, he experiments with other me- diums as well as larger substrates, which he is unable to do within the restricted timetables of Plein Air.
