Florida’s Finest Ambassadors
MANON SANDER
Jupiter, FL Born in Germany, Manon grew up in Ber- lin and Bavaria and moved to Chicago in 1995 where she ran a mural painting business for several years. Getting introduced to the work of well known Cali- fornian impressionist painters as well as moving to the San Francisco area in 2006 were the igniting sparks to plunge herself into plein air and studio painting in oil. Capturing the light is what drives Manon to her paints and easel to put down her impressions in thick
juicy oil paint applied with gusto. Her work appears in prestigious permanent collections and publications, including former White House Communication Of- cer James Snyder’s book “Down The Loxahatchee.” Represented online at www.manonsander.com.
COREY WRIGHT
Palmetto, FL Florida artist, Cory Wright, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998. Since then, in addition to being an art instructor and studio painter, she has had an accomplished career as a muralist, specializing in the tromp l’oiel technique. In 2011 Wright’s artistic journey began to change course when she discovered her passion for painting en plein air during a workshop in Italy. She soon began participating in and winning awards at various Paint Outs throughout the state of Florida. Her paintings are now held in national and international private collections. These days she can most often be found outdoors at her easel, or in her Art Studio & Gallery in Historic Palmetto. Represented online at www.corywrightart.com.
SHARON YARBROUGH
Port Charlotte, FL For Sharon Yarbrough, a plein air venture painting in the gardens of Monet in Giverny rst opened her eyes to the joy of creat- ing outdoors. Professionally trained in New York and Sarasota, Sharon is an active community arts leader and instructor in the Southwest Florida area and an active workshop and exhibiter. Yarbrough’s approach to plein air landscape painting involves creating a spontaneous connection to the subject, she says. “I’m not afraid to try new things and see each painting as an opportunity to explore and learn. There is always something new to say. Plein air painting is a wonderful way to be outside and to be totally connected to the subject and the place.” Represented online at www. sharonyarbrough.faso. com.
