The Herb Garden, Canterbury Cathedral, Kent.
The Herb garden was originally a place where herbs were cultivated for healing by the monks.
Faith is a healing process, on a personal and global perspective.
Within the garden space are remnants of support pillars, wall alcoves as well as buttresses.
The Alter-Realist composition incorporates elements of stained glass and architectural sections in order to
extend the narrative of healing.
The garden extends beyond the open doorway into an inner place of prayer and contemplation; there is no
barrier and the continuation of nature persists, wherein the natural force and energy harmonises with human
creative expression through design and the fashioning of Earths materials.
