Top Ten
1. We loved the privacy we had in the yard because our property borders the Trumbull Historical
Society property.
2. Walking to the Frog Pond at the NIA for great ice skating in the winter and an occasional bonfire.
3. It was great to be so close to the Merritt Parkway and Route 8 for easy access to the mall and
entertainment venues.
4. Having the house on the NIA Annual Christmas Jingle Bell Run Route was a great way to kick off the
holiday season, meet your neighbors and get out with friends.
5. My brother and I attended Trumbull public schools from elementary through high school. It's a great
educational system and we feel we benefited a lot from being part of it.
6. We have fond memories of walking across the street to play basketball at Nothnagle Field which we
did daily!
7. We remember walking to the Fairchild Nichols Memorial Library for readings by local authors,
exhibits by painters including noted ghost hunter Lorraine Warren, who became a lifelong friend.
8. Riding our bikes to Unity Park for tennis, fishing and basketball is still some of the best in the area!
9. The proximity to all types of shopping for groceries, malls, antiques and farm fresh produce to name
a few, makes Nichols an attractive area to live in.
10. The NIA property is just a short
walk away with a great kid's
playground and plenty of community
activities year round.
11. Our neighborhood has easy access to
many churches and church schools,
most within walking distance.
