Top Ten Team Tips

Make your home sparkle!

• Wash windows inside and out
• Rent a pressure washer and spray down sidewalks & exterior
• Clean out cobwebs. (look in the basement!)
• Re-caulk tubs, showers and sinks
• Polish chrome faucets and mirrors
• Clean out the refrigerator
• Dust furniture, ceiling fan blades and light fixtures
• Bleach dingy grout
• Replace worn rugs
• Hang up fresh towels. (pack the dingy ones)
• Bathroom towels look great fastened with ribbon & bows
• Clean & air out any musty smelling areas. Odors are a no-no

Rearrange Bedroom closets & Kitchen cabinets

Buyers love to see everything and will open closet & cabinet doors. Think of the message it sends if items
fall out! Now imagine what a buyer believes about you if she sees everything organized. It says you probably
take good care of the rest of the house as well. Be careful on this one because you can end up obsessing (did
you ever see Sleeping With The Enemy?)…a few suggestions:
• Organize Food Pantry (not sure if you need to go as far as Alphabetizing spice jars)
• Neatly stack dishes…Turn coffee cup handles facing the same way.
• Have fun with organizing your closets (listen to music, color coordinate, shirts facing the same way,
shoes lines up, if you haven’t worn it, box it. Seasonalize..and ONLY keep the coats you wear! Our team
