INTERVIEW WITH THE HOMEOWNER

Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: From the moment we passed the stone walls that are quintessentially New England and drove up the
circular drive to the front entrance, we were captivated by the beauty of the home. As we walked through
the front door and into the two story entrance, we knew we had found our home! The spaciousness of
each room, high ceilings, detailed moldings and inlaid hardwood floors made us feel that we would be
comfortable and proud to raise our family here.

Q: Please describe any changes made to the property…
A: We have really loved having all that space in the back and as our children grew and we got to know our
neighborhood better, we started to think of Trout Brook Conservation as our second backyard. With that
in mind, we thought what better way to add to the enjoyment of our property than to put in a heated pool
for our family and friends to enjoy for three out of the four seasons! We’ve had many parties around that
pool. My husband would man the barbeque, I would open up the doors to the family room which kept the
flow of the party moving from inside to the outside; kids jumping in and out of the pool and friends and
family coming in and out. The pool was a great addition. And so was the barn. Originally built to house my
husband’s sports cars and to accommodate his love of wood working, the kids ended up taking advantage
of the structure as well by discovering it, using it for arts and crafts and just general kids play!

        Q: Why are you moving?
A: We loved living in Connecticut and our children have many friends here as do we, but life moves on and we
find ourselves having to move on as well. Our aging parents are in need of our help so we’re moving closer
            to them to help out.

Q: Will you miss the neighbors/neighborhood?
A: This is one of those neighborhoods where everybody knows everybody else. There’s a great sense of
community and everybody looks out for one another. The neighbors are friendly and always willing to
lend a helping hand. We made friends here that we will have for our lifetime!

Q: Tell me about the grounds-
A: We always felt like we were waking up to a private natural utopia! The beauty of the four seasons is very
pronounced on our property because we live right next door to such a wonderful protected environment.
The foliage is amazing. In the summer we went swimming in the pool, berry picking and hiking in Trout
Brook. In the winter we would take our dog and spend hours sledding and snow shoeing as well as hiking.

Q: What makes your property special?
A: We love that the house is located at the intersection of 4 towns; Weston, Easton, Westport & Fairfield
and we are able to enjoy all four towns. Shopping in Fairfield and Westport, Breakfast at the famed

Bluebird Inn in Easton and horseback riding and Farmer’s markets in Weston and Easton, not to mention
            outdoor concerts and carnivals.

We consider ourselves lucky to have lived next door to Trout Brook for 20 years. While others have to
pack their children and dogs in the car to enjoy a family hike all we have to do is to go right out our back
door! We wake up to a symphony of birds in the spring, we go berry picking, leaf peeping and sledding…
            never a dull moment.

We hope a wonderful family will move into our house so they can build memories and make it their own
            loving home!
